Texas Goldbacks: frequently asked questions
What denominations does the Texas Goldback series include?
We currently carry one Texas note: the 1 Dallas Goldback. It holds the same gold as a 1 Goldback from any other state series, with artwork built around the city of Dallas. Buy a single note or several. There are no order minimums.
How much gold is in a Texas Goldback?
The 1 Dallas Goldback holds 1/1,000 of a troy ounce of 24k gold, the same amount as every 1 Goldback. The gold is physically embedded in the note through the patented vacuum deposition process that makes every Goldback verifiable and spendable.
What is on the Dallas Goldback artwork?
The artwork draws from Dallas's character: ambition, economic weight, and a city that built itself into one of the most recognized names in America. The design reflects that energy. Full artwork is shown in the product images on the 1 Dallas Goldback page.
Does a Texas Goldback hold the same gold as other state series?
Yes. Gold content depends on the denomination, not the state. A 1 Texas Goldback holds the same 1/1,000 troy ounce of .9999 fine 24k gold as a 1 from Oklahoma or Florida. What changes from series to series is the artwork. Goldbacks from every state series spend at participating merchants across the Goldback network.
How do I verify a Texas Goldback?
The Texas (Dallas) note launched in 2025, so it carries UV-reactive ink on the reverse. Under a 365 nm UV light, the denomination and Goldback logo glow. Every Goldback also has microprinting, raised imagery on the back and a unique serial number. Our guide on how to verify your Goldbacks walks through each check.
