A native cottonwood behind her bears the word "Deseret" carved in the 1850s Deseret alphabet, and UV light reveals its English translation. A beehive, Utah's emblem of industry, hangs in the branches, honeybees circle her, and UV-reactive ink reveals a honeybee necklace. The enduring principle reads "Out of small things proceedeth that which is great." (D&C 64:33)
