The Utah Goldback series is where it all started. Launched in 2019 as the world's first Goldback series, Utah set the standard for every state that followed — nine denominations of .9999 fine 24k gold, each featuring allegorical artwork honoring the classical virtues: Prudence, Justice, Strength, Liberality, Hope, Wisdom, Faith, Love, and Victory.

Each Utah Goldback contains real gold physically embedded into the note using a patented vacuum deposition process developed over two decades. The gold content scales with the denomination — a 1 Utah Goldback holds 1/1000th of a troy ounce; a 100 Goldback holds 1/10th of a troy ounce. No paper promises, no counterparty risk. Real gold you can hold and spend.

Utah is the home of sound money. The state recognized gold and silver as legal tender in 2011 — the first in the modern era to do so — and the Goldback program grew directly from that movement.
